Lancaster users were unable to initiate or maintain terminal server connections. A hardware problem was identified by a TCW engineer later in the afternoon. A replacement unit has been received, and will be installed on Friday.
Printing for many faculty-staff printers was not working.
A configuration file change corrected it.
UPDATE at 2 p.m: Maintenance has been successful, though systems will not be available until about 3 p.m.

A support pack will be applied to EMU’s fileservers, affecting file and print services. This is a routine maintenance procedure to ensure server stability and security.
Working with files on the network during this period is STRONGLY discouraged.
E-mail, calendar and other services that depend on the Royal Password will be unavailable during periods of this outage.
Other services, such as Internet access, Campusweb and Blackboard will remain available.
FS was rebooted in preparation for maintenance tomorrow morning.
The Student Information System (AS/400, Campus Web) will be unavailable Tuesday, November 14 from 7:15 am to 7:45 am to change a connection setting.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu). CampusWeb provides student access to their financial information (billings and FinAid) as well as final class grades.
No other systems are affected by this outage.
