UPDATE: Most services are back on-line. Any remaining web apps that are not responding should be back on-line shortly.
On Wednesday, December 27 8:00-12:00, IT will be upgrading the software on a core network device. This will result in an extensive outage of networked technology on campus. Services impacted are:
Phones
Wired Network
Wireless Network
Internet
Printing
Classroom Technology
If you are off-campus some services will remain available, including all Google services, Moodle, Salesforce, and www.emu.edu. However, Jenzabar systems including J1 and MyEMU will not be available on or off campus.
UPDATE: The problem is resolved. All websites on appsrv.emu.edu are working for both on-campus and off-campus.
appsrv.emu.edu is not accessible from outside EMU’s network.
From within EMU’s network, there is a browser prompt about an expired certificate.
Technicians are investigating.

RESOLVED: The phone.emu.edu is back on-line.
The phone.emu.edu server is off-line. I.S. is working on resolving the problem.
RESOLVED: The WiFi stopped working in Mt Clinton Apartments around 12:40 AM on Sunday, 11/19 due to a problem with the supply of power.
RESOLVED: The WiFi stopped working around 6:00 PM on Wednesday, 11/15 due to a problem with the supply of power. Facilities Management has been notified.
The Internet service at main campus, including the connection to Lancaster, was down for a few minutes. I.S. is investigating what happened.
[Updated 2:57 PM]: The problem has not occurred again since this morning. We are considering it resolved.
EMU’s external DNS service may be experiencing intermittent problems. This may cause websites to not load properly, if at all.
If you experience problems loading a webpage, or a webpage is taking significantly longer to load than usual, please wait 10-15 minutes before contacting the help desk to see if the problem goes away by itself.
