Users may have experienced problems connecting to the campus wireless network this morning. Technicians have resolved the problem.
The EMU telephone switch (PBX) went off-line about 7:15pm tonight. Information Systems became aware of and began working on the problem within the hour. The cause of the problem is believed to be power-related.

We are currently experiencing network connectivity issues. Technicians are looking into the issue. This appears to be mostly just wireless.
[14:00:00] Technicians have resolved the problem.
There will be a short outage of EX and
myEMU, to install updates to the
database and web servers.
We will be installing a routine update on our SIS and myEMU systems.
These systems will be unavailable from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. while SIS is updated to EX 3.8.7 . Please do NOT attempt to use Jenzabar EX during this outage.

Update 2011-12-21 10:04AM: The Moodle upgrade is complete but we are still troubleshooting a problem with uploading files. We will update this log and the Moodle front page as we have more details.
On Wed, 21 Dec, we will be upgrading Moodle. Moodle may be unavailable between 8:00 and 10:00AM. We have scheduled the upgrade after most semester grades are due but know that this may still cause problems for some faculty. We apologize for the inconvenience.

For those of you that use the Financial Aid module, there will be an upgrade planned for Wednesday morning until 10:00am. Please stay out of the FAM module while we get PowerFAIDs up to date to version 17.0.
You may use any other part of EX during this time.
Information Systems will be working with consultants next Tue, 20 Dec, to upgrade our wireless (Wi-Fi or Airport) network infrastructure.
Wireless network connections will likely be unavailable between 8am and 5pm. The outage will impact our Lancaster and Washington locations as well as the Harrisonburg campus.
