Library databases not accessible from student networks
A router configuration problem affected students’ ability to access Library research databases from residence halls and wireless after an upgrade was done.
Notifylink Outage
Notifylink will be unavailable for about 30 minutes while patch 6 is installed. New emails and calendar appointments will not by synchronized to mobile devices during this time.
NAC problems
Configuration problems caused NAC to warn and quarantine users. We have resolved the problems.
PowerFAIDS 16.4A update (no FAM outage)
For those of you that use the Financial Aid module, there will be an upgrade planned for Friday morning until 10:00am. This should not impact the use of the FAM module during this time. Only PowerFAIDS users will need the upgrade.
Network Outage for All Parkwoods Buildings – Wired and Wireless
About 9:00pm the Parkwoods manager called to report there is no wired or wireless network in all of Parkwoods.
Status of outage will continue to be carried on this outage report.
09/18 7:00am: First level trouble shooting occurred between 7am and 8am Sunday morning. Parkwoods components appear to be functioning properly. Second level support will need to come on campus to troubleshoot up-stream components. This technician will arrive between noon and 3:00pm.
09/19 13:45: Root problem found and corrected. Service restored about 1:45pm, Sunday, 09/18.
SIS and myEMU database server update
There will be a short outage of EX and
myEMU, to install updates to the
database server.
Faculty/Staff P: and G: Drives Unavailable Fri, 09/16, 5:30PM
UPDATE: The migration process has completed successfully.
All faculty and staff need to logoff by 5:30pm in preparation for Info Systems move of P-drive and G-drive data from Novell servers to Microsoft servers as part of the EMU systems migration from Novell to Microsoft.
It is important that employees logoff which prevents file changes to P: and G: drive data during the file migration process which begins at 5:30pm on September 16th and will conclude sometime on Sunday, September 18th.
Other online systems such as the following, will NOT be affected by this outage:
* Internet access/wireless access
* Student access to lab computers
* Printing
* Email
* Oracle calendar
* Web servers
* Moodle
* myEMU
* Astra Schedule
* SIS/EX (except PowerFAIDs users who are dependent upon G-drive for some functions)
Off-campus access to network files via NetStorage will NOT be available during this outage.
Faculty and staff will NOT be able to login to LAB and TEACHER WORKSTATION computers.
Check this outage status page for updates during the weekend of September 16-18 for the latest on this file migration process. We are hopeful that the process will be completed sometime Sunday afternoon, 09/18.
09/18 12:30PM: “All-Clear” given by Network Systems team. Email will be sent to faculty/staff by Jack.
myEMU unavailable
Reports received at around 4:30pm that users were not able to load myEMU pages. myEMU is now functioning normally.
myEMU unresponsive
myEMU stopped responding to web requests. Technicians are evaluation the problem.
