ST novell server was rebooted due to some memory issues. This could have caused sporadic connectivity/authentication issues for LDAP related queries such as email.

FS Server Outage
The Faculty/Staff server is unavailable. Technicians are working to resolve the issue.
Planned Maintenance: Affects many services!
Procedures to update disaster-recovery info will be performed, as well as some general housekeeping. This will affect:
– EMU web site
– e-mail
– myEMU
– SIS (EX)
– SIRSI (Library catalog), Ariel
– Astra Schedule
– Photocopiers
– Choice ticketing
– TMA
– Tserve/Tserve2
– Internet (30 min.)
ST to be rebooted
The Student Novell server “ST” will be rebooted to resolve a few small issues.
FS server to be rebooted
The Novell Factulty/Staff file server needs to be rebooted to correct a memory error.
FS printer outage for applying patch
iPrinte services will be stopped on FS to apply patch sp7b
ST printer outage for applying patch
Stop printer services and apply patch, restart printer services.
SIS & Campus Web offline for full system backup
Final full system save of TE (EMU400) SIS requires that EMU400 & Campus Web be offline.
FS server reboot/crash
FS had a memory problem. Rebooted to solve this problem and it crashed during power down.
SIS Data Input Outage
Conversion of data from the Jenzabar TE SIS (AS400) began at 5pm, Fri, 2/6.
The AS400 is still running but we absolutely DO NOT want users to be logged into the system from 5pm Fri 2/6 through 8am Mon 2/9.
We do not have a simple way to keep users out of the system so we are relying on users to honor this request.
Beginning 8am Mon 2/9 if users wish to VIEW data on the AS400 they may login and do so. All data input must be suspended until the new Jenzabar EX system is “live” which expect to be about Fri, 2/20. Offices will received official notification when this occurs.
