The primary e-mail server will be moved to a new, more powerful system. When completed, the upgrade should be seamless. Mail will be stored for delivery during the outage.

mail server rebooted
Server was low on memory. Restarted server – all seems fine now.
E-mail server outage for hardware upgrade (failed)
The e-mail server will be unavailable for the first of two outages to upgrade the hardware that this service runs on.
** The procedure scheduled for this time failed and will need to be rescheduled. **
Webmail/RADIUS server outage
A server that hosts the webmail service, as well as RADIUS (required for wireless access) experienced an error and required a reboot.
Email server planned outage
For routine maintenance and as part of a larger future upgrade, the email servers will be unavailable early Saturday morning. No mail should be lost during this procedure.
ldap proxy failure on mail
The ldap proxy daemon began failing sometime Wednesday evening. It was discovered and restarted several minutes later.
webmail server reboot
The webmail server needs to be rebooted to resolve an issue that causes services to fail periodically.
The update did not succeed. IS will resolve this and schedule a future reboot.
Webmail database upgrade
Due to security vulnerabilities an upgrade of the webmail database backend software is required. This will affect webmail only. Users of Outlook should not be affected.
Tcell Outage
TCell appears to have received a power-down signal from the UPS while DJ was working on it this morning. Tcell went off line at 7:41 according to Sam’s check-up scripts. It was functional by 9am.
Mail was queued in the interim and may take up to four hours for delivery. No disruption in DNS services was noted.

Webmail failed when DAD failed. Had problems getting the SSL cert reinstalled.
