Sporatic Novell Problems While Debugging On-going Issues

The Novell NDS (Netware Directory Services) data base has not been performing correctly since the Service Pack 3 installation on 1/5/2002. A consultant was hired to assist with debugging the issues on 1/22. Progress was made but users encountered failed logins regularly while the debugging work was performed from 1/22 – 1/24.

ST (student) Server Crash

ST (student) Novell server crash. Lingering problem from SP3 upgrade of 1/5/02. All SP3 induced problems now resolved. General area of problem centered on timesync function.

Student Server Restarted

Since ST had to brought down due to loosing control of the console I made an image of it this morning.

I tried a couple of other things regarding why it won’t down and didn’t find anything new out.

I’m now going to try and load that image on the AR box.

Faculty Staff Novell Server Hung
