CIFS was not working properly after the Facutly/Staff file server crashed earlier today. When attempting to restart CIFS, FS crashed.

There needs to be a short Internet outage to test a new device slated for production installation at a later date. This outage will be 2 small outages each less than 3 minutes. The outages will occur when the device is installed and removed.

The outage is complete. The actual internet outage was less than 5 minutes, but there were two of them – one at the beginning and end of the timeframe.
SIS battery replacement
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable Monday, May 7 from 4 pm to 5 pm for a cache battery replacement.
Terminal Services outage
The Terminal server crashed and had to be restarted.
Long Distance Outage
Information Systems has received notification from Qwest, our long distance provider, that they are experiencing a state wide long distance outage. They are, “aware of the problem and working diligently to get it repaired.”
FS fileserver unplanned reboot
The file server web server was unresponsive, affecting several services. It was rebooted.
