TSD and TSERVE rebooted
These servers need the power cords moved. This will be a short outage to down them, move the cords, and power them back up.
Internet connection down
Opened a ticket with nTelos commercial support. Found to be a problem with a piece of EMU equipment. After a reset, the connection was restored.
SIS Unavailable Monday
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable while moving a power cord. A half hour interruption is anticipated.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu).
No other systems are affected by this outage.
Long Distance Telephone Service Unavailable
Long distance telephone service became unavailable around 1:30. Our provider has been contacted and we continue to look into the issue. On campus users can make long distance calls, but none will be received.
Internet response time may be slow
Due to an issue outside of EMU’s network, internet access may be slow. Webpages may take longer than usual to load, email may be inaccessible and terminal services may be unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience.
DAD server outage
Dad was rebooted to regain console control and to move it to another UPS.
TServe unavailable via VPN
Users in Lancaster and Morgantown were unable to connect to the terminal server through a VPN connection. The cause of the problem is under investigation.
Novell server ST outage
ST student server was down when I got in today. Checked logs – couldn’t find any problems. Processor was at 24%. Couldn’t do anything useful at the console. Tried to check connections in the “monitor” screen – no response. Spawned other command lines – no response from “speed” or “down”. Powered off the server – it appeared to start up normally.
