Terminal services were unavailable after a user shut down the server. Terminal server users should never choose to restart or shut down if they are given the option to do so.

Blackboard server upgrade
Aging hardware will be replaced to ensure a high level of reliability and performance.
ST (Student) Novell Server Crash
The ST file server became unavailable and needed to be restarted. Users are unable to authenticate to EMU services.
Mail login ability was restored, though problems with ST persisted.
Novell scheduled updates — major outage
Many major systems will be unavailable while a routine upgrade is made to our Novell NetWare file servers.
All services that require the Royal username and password will be inaccessible for most/all of the outage period.
Blackboard, Internet access and the SIS will remain available.
Webserver unresponsive
The webserver was unresponsive and was restarted with minimal service disruption.
Email delivery outage
A server that processes email went down on Sunday morning. The result was that no new email was delivered until it was brought back online this morning (Monday). Because email systems hold and retry messages that can’t be delivered, you should now be receiving all messages that would have been delivered during the outage. It is unlikely that any mail was lost, however senders may have received warning messages.
Outlook and Calendar outage
The Oracle Calendar server will be unavailable for upgrades on Monday evening beginning at 8:00 PM. A major effect of this will be that Outlook may have difficulty functioning properly. Email will still be accessible during this time but only via Webmail.
Calendar outage for database maintenance
The calendar server is not responded as expected; database repair utilities are being run to correct the problem.
ST novell server is down
Student Novell server (ST) is down. It crashed this morning. Unsure of when it will be back.
Wireless authentication not working
Wireless authentication is not working. A technician is looking in to the problem.
