Lancaster connectivity problem
There appears to be a problem with the firewall at the lancaster campus. The unit was replaced and is now functional.
Blackboard problems – status report
As of 9:30 AM, Fri, Dec 15:
Blackboard is now accessible, however any FILES that were UPLOADED on Wednesday are not accessible. This does NOT include grades, discussions, etc., only uploaded files (Word documents, power point files, etc.) Information Systems is working to restore those files this morning.
AS of 3:00 PM, Fri, Dec 15:
Further research this morning (Fri) revealed that files that were UPLOADED between last Wed (12/6) and this Tue (12/12) were also missing. These have now been restored and Info Systems has located the files uploaded on Wed (12/13) and these will be restored within the next several hours.
At 3:55 PM Friday, the server needed to be restarted in order to complete the final phase of the restore procedures. This resulted in an outage of several minutes.
As of 4:30 PM Friday, the system is running normally and all files (that we know about) have been recovered and restored.
Campus Web outage
Campus Web will be unavailable for one
hour on Tuesday, December 12 beginning at
7:00 am. for a routine procedure. SIS will be available and will not be affected by this outage.
FSAPPS server crash
FSAPPS crashed – powercycled server to get it going again. No console control. Had “abend screen” on console
Email problems
Certain components of the email system, particularly Sympa (listservs) were unresponsive due to a problem with the email server.
TServe stopped responding
Lancaster users reported not being able to access TServe. It was non-responsive, and was rebooted.
Connection problems with ST (Student file server)
File server is not responding correctly. It was rebooted.
Network routing outage
A critical piece of network equipment stopped functioning, leaving most network resources unavailable.
The device has been reset, and is now functioning normally.
Lancaster Internet connectivity problems
Lancaster users were unable to initiate or maintain terminal server connections. A hardware problem was identified by a TCW engineer later in the afternoon. A replacement unit has been received, and will be installed on Friday.
