Server FS was unresponsive, and utilization was high for one processor. Timesync was lost, and NovaNet couldn’t contact the database server. Busiest threads were “NN Sup 2”, “DB Monitor” and “Server 23”. The last file scanned by Sweep was at 3:03 a.m. The server appeared to be fine after rebooting. Sweep was not reloaded.

TServe updates
Routine system maintenance. Upgrading Microsoft Office, Mozilla browser and Goldmine related utilities.
TServe freeze
TServe froze for reasons that are as yet undetermined. The server has been rebooted and investigations are ongoing.
FSAPPS server crash
The server showed high utilization (server thread) and was sluggish/unresponsive from clients. It would not shut down cleanly, so a reboot was forced. The last file scanned by Sophos was at 11:07, which seems like a large time gap. Server is operational following the reboot.
SIS Disk Controller Card Replacement
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable while a disk controller card is replaced. A one hour interuption is anticipated.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu). CampusWeb provides student access to their financial information (billings and FinAid) as well as final class grades.
No other systems are affected by this outage.

SIS PTF Installation
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable while routine PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes) are applied to the system. A three to four hour interuption is anticipated.

Internet service unavailable
There was a disruption in service due to an nTelos router problem.
Long Distance Outage
We are experiencing a problem with our long distance service. A trouble ticket has been opened with our provider. If you are a faculty or staff member and need to make a long distance call you may do so by using a calling card.
FS server crash/hung
Novell server FS hung again.
CPU at 24%, Appears to be Sophos again.
This time it was run as “sweep -bindery”. The info on the sweep screen was as follows:
