The SIS will be unavailable during the
monthly full backup. This includes
EMU400 and Campus Web.
ST print server not working
The student print server ST was not accepting print requests.
There was a problem with the security certificate.
Lancaster 827 router failure
The 827 router is/has failed. A new one is being acquired. Internet access is down.
Faculty/Staff file server FS crashed
The faculty/staff file server crashed.
Some phones in Northlawn not in service
Equipment failure has interrupted telephone service for Northlawn 4th floor, as well as some of Northlawn 3rd floor.
We anticipate having the equipment replaced by the end of the day.
Web server configuration
Some portions of the web site will be reconfigured. The web server may be unavailable during this process.
Novell scheduled updates — major outage
Many major systems will be unavailable while a routine upgrade is made to our Novell NetWare file servers. Additionally, routine maintenance procedures will be performed on all network servers.
All services that require the Royal username and password will be inaccessible for most/all of the outage period.
Blackboard, Internet access and the SIS will remain available.
Internet outage
We’re experiencing an Internet outage, and are looking into the cause of the problem.
The problem was resolved.
Brief email interruption
There will be an interruption of email lasting a couple of minutes as an upgrade is made to email server software. This upgrade keeps our software current and should enhance the performance of Webmail.
ST server reconfiguration
Due to unexpected problems with aging hardware, the ST server drives will be transferred to different server hardware. Students will not be able to access P: drives or log in to Novell while this procedure is taking place.
