There will be a voice mail outage today for routine maintenance. During this time voice mail will be unaccessible.
Email server planned outage
Information Systems is planning a 30 minute outage of email late Thursday evening while new disks are attached to the server. Messages received during the outage will be held and delivered after the server is brought back online.
Internet outage – ISP problem
Our Internet service provider performed a scheduled change to our Internet connection, which was supposed to take about five minutes. An unanticipated problem extended the outage. The problem was resolved with the ISP’s help.
Brief Email Planned Outage
The email server will be taken off line briefly early Thursday morning for the installation of a new hardware device in the server. IS expects the outage to last ten minutes or less.
TServe not available
The Terminal Server TServe is not responding.
FS server crashed
The faculty/staff file server crashed. It is being restarted.
Planned restarts: mail, web and calendar servers
Mail, web and calendar servers will be restarted so that time zone updates will take effect.
Campus web is not available
Currently the campus web server is unavailable. A technician will look into the problem Monday morning.
SIS tape drive replacement
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable from 5 pm to 6:30 pm for a tape drive replacement.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu).
FS (Faculty/Staff) Novell Server Crash
The Faculty/Staff server became unstable and needs to be restarted. Technicians are working on the problem. It should be back in service in 15-30 minutes.
