An outage is planned for Monday evening to migrate the Astra database to a new server. The service will be offline for the duration of the migration which should take 20 minutes or less.

File Server File2 hung and was rebooted
The Windows file server File2 hung while installing backup software and had to be rebooted.
ST rebooted – broke printing for lab printers
ST rebooted for an unknown reason. Reloaded services and it works fine.
Library databases outage
The system providing access to the library databases failed to restart properly after scheduled maintenance on November 19.
Network Access Control
After this morning’s outage our network access control system failed to restart correctly. Users, especially on Macintosh computers, may experience problems authenticating. We are in conversation with the vendor about this problem.
Internet connection, network and file storage maintenance
We expect outages for the following systems between 8am and noon on the 19th:
* on-campus internet access
* EMU web site and server
* email and calendar services
* file servers and services
* copiers and printers
* computer labs
* Moodle learning management system
We expect outages for these systems between 8am and 3pm:
* myEMU
* Student Information System (EX)
Lancaster Internet outage
Lancaster’s Internet is currently down. They are contacting Comcast to resolve the situation.
FS Server rebooted
The FS Novell server crashed and was rebooted.
Unplanned Astra Outage
The Astra services needed to be restarted.
Oracle Calendar Outage
Oracle calendar will be offline for approximately 15 minutes for database maintenance. This will affect users who access the calendar via the web or Outlook.
