Information Systems has received notification from Qwest, our long distance provider, that they are experiencing a state wide long distance outage. They are, “aware of the problem and working diligently to get it repaired.”

FS fileserver unplanned reboot
The file server web server was unresponsive, affecting several services. It was rebooted.
Science Center network outage
Network devices in the Science Center are not responding, preventing any network access from that building. We are investigating the problem now.
Webserver outage
Database connectivity to the webserver was intermittent from approximately 7:00AM Tuesday, April 17th until the problem was resolved at approximately 8:45AM. All systems are now functional.
Webmail problem
A database problem is affecting the ability to log in a use webmail. We’re looking into the problem.
Student file server (ST) unplanned reboot
The ST server experienced a problem and will be rebooted.

We have contacted our Internet service provider to get this problem resolved.

All services have been restored except TServe (terminal server).

Internet access will remain available during this time.
Some services will be available during this period, though you are encouraged to not count on them.
Work to be completed includes:
– updates for disaster-recovery
– installation of new remote file access software
