Update 4/24/23 3:00PM: All MFDs have been updated and outage is complete

Update 4/24/23 1:30PM: A certificate change has caused a temporary outage of copying and scanning function on some Ricoh MFDs.

Monday, April 24, 7:00AM to 7:30AM is a scheduled Information Systems outage for Papercut in order to perform a necessary upgrade. Papercut will be unavailable during this time, which will result in an outage of all network printing, copying, and scanning on the Harrisonburg campus. The Lancaster site will be unaffected.

If you have difficulty printing after the upgrade, please reboot your computer to trigger a restart of your Papercut client software.

Update 1/4/23 8:15AM: Upgrade was successful, printing functionality restored.

11/15/22 Scheduled: TeamDynamix

Update 11:00PM: Upgrade is complete

EMU Information Systems is switching from Jira Service Management to TeamDynamix for IT service management, including Helpdesk and SIS ticketing. All open tickets will be migrated to the new system, and requestors/participants of open tickets may receive an email from helpdesk@emu.edu alerting them of successful ticket migration. This email will also contain a reply token unique to a customer’s ticket in our new platform.

Update 10/20/22 8:15AM: Upgrade is complete and all services have been restored

Thursday October 20, 6:00AM to 8:00AM is a scheduled information system outage for Papercut in order to perform a necessary upgrade.  Papercut will be unavailable during this time, which will result in an outage of all network printing, copying, and scanning on the Harrisonburg campus.  Lancaster campus will be unaffected.

Scheduled Outage: EMU VPN

On Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 5:00PM to 5:45PM we will be updating a component of the EMU VPN to a newer software version. New connections to the EMU VPN will not work during the upgrade. VPN connections already active at the time of the upgrade will not be affected.

Unscheduled Outage: Microsoft Authentication

Update: by 5 pm it appears that much of the original problem was resolved. By 7 pm, the remaining lingering effects were fixed.

As of 4pm this afternoon there are numerous reports of an outage related to Microsoft Authentication which is used for signing into various EMU Services. IS is aware of the situation and will post updates as Microsoft resolves this issue
