Unscheduled: Partial Network Outage in Suter Science Center
Update: 1:11PM – Power has been restored. Network will be up shortly.
Due to a partial power outage, network is not available in some spaces of Suter Science Center.
Unscheduled: Bookstore Outage
Update: 7 AM 8/30/2024 The EMU bookstore is functioning normally.
The EMU Bookstore does not display Fall textbooks for courses. EMU is currently working with Akademos to resolve this problem. We expect the problem to be corrected by 8/30/2024.

Update: The issue was resolved around 10:05am.
There is an issue with DNS. Technicians are working on the issue.

Saturday, July 11 starting at 1 AM Salesforce will be down briefly to install the Summer ’20 Release
This outage will affect Admissions.

Scheduled: Internet service interruption
Internet service to campus, both Harrisonburg and Lancaster, will be unavailable on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm for the replacement of critical network infrastructure.
For those onsite at Harrisonburg or Lancaster, resources hosted by Information Systems will remain available, such as:
- Moodle
- MyEMU
- www.emu.edu
- workstation login and mapped drives
- wireless
- other on-campus resources.
Examples of what will not be available:
- Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, YouTube, and all other Google services
- Zoom
- all other internet resources not hosted on the EMU campus (all other websites).
For anyone who is not onsite at Harrisonburg or Lancaster, the opposite of the above will apply.
Unscheduled: Internet Connection
Problems with one of our internet service providers disrupted internet connectivity on the Harrisonburg campus. All systems are now functioning normally.
Unscheduled: Internet interruption due to NAC
Update: This issue has been resolved.
Users are currently experiencing an internet interruption due to a popup from SafeConnect requesting them to download the policy key.
Internet speed issue
Update: as of 7:00 pm the problem has been resolved.
Our internet connectivity has become extremely slow this evening. We are working to identify the problem.
Internet connectivity problems
A repeat of yesterday’s issues were encountered briefly, in which the addresses of many websites could not be resolved, however we have positively identified the cause of the problem. We have put a workaround in place until the vendor can fix the problem in the affected system.
