Update: 7 AM 8/30/2024 The EMU bookstore is functioning normally.
The EMU Bookstore does not display Fall textbooks for courses. EMU is currently working with Akademos to resolve this problem. We expect the problem to be corrected by 8/30/2024.

Internet service to campus, both Harrisonburg and Lancaster, will be unavailable on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm for the replacement of critical network infrastructure.

Problems with one of our internet service providers disrupted internet connectivity on the Harrisonburg campus. All systems are now functioning normally.

Users are currently experiencing an internet interruption due to a popup from SafeConnect requesting them to download the policy key.
Update: as of 7:00 pm the problem has been resolved.
Our internet connectivity has become extremely slow this evening. We are working to identify the problem.
A repeat of yesterday’s issues were encountered briefly, in which the addresses of many websites could not be resolved, however we have positively identified the cause of the problem. We have put a workaround in place until the vendor can fix the problem in the affected system.

2:15pm: We’ve received reports of internet connection problems. Technicians are investigating.
Between 2:15pm and 3:15pm on Tue 1 Sep users on the Harrisonburg campus experienced problems connecting to web sites and services. These problems were intermittent and inconsistent, with some sites being available and others not.
We have traced the problem to anomalies in web traffic across our two internet connections. We are working with both internet service providers to further diagnose the problem and prevent its recurrence.
