The primary anti-virus update server (used by Sophos Remote Update) was taken off line for exploratory maintenance this morning in preparation for a comprehensive Sophos upgrade in the future.
Campus Web Outage
Campus Web will be unavailable for one hour on Tuesday, June 28 beginning at 5:00 pm. for a routine end of fiscal year procedure. SIS will be available and will not be affected by this outage.
FS server is unavailable
The FS server became unavailable. Technicians are rebooting the system. It should be available around 4:30.

The F/S server crashed and had to be restarted via a hard reset.

Long Distance Outage
– Long distance outage affecting only inbound 800# service. Outbound long distance service is still working. A service ticket has been opened with Qwest.
– Outage was resolved around 4:00 p.m.
Student file server outage
The student file server, ST, will be down for an hour or less to swap its disks back to the original server hardware. This will affect file and print services for students, guests, and faculty-staff accessing class data (V drive).
Novell ST (student) Server Crash
The Novell server that provides file and print services for students crashed shortly after 9am.
Hardware crashed – replacements are being sent under warranty. They should be here tomorrow.
Temporarily we are using the new web server hardware to host the ST server. So the services will be backup until the technician comes to fix the old hardware.
NetWare fileservers outage – SP3
All NetWare fileservers were unavailable during this time for a routine upgrade to Support Pack 3. This update improves security, fixes bugs, including a flaw with long filenames and Macintoshes.
SIS PTF Installation
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable while routine PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes) are applied to the system. A three to four hour interuption is anticipated.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu).
