WAP wasn’t responding – needed to be rebooted.
SIS PTF Installation
The Student Information System (iSeries, Campus Web) will be unavailable while routine PTFs (Program Temporary Fixes) are applied to the system. A three to four hour interuption is anticipated.
The systems affected will be Jenzabar application software (TEAMS2000) and CampusWeb (https://campusweb.emu.edu). CampusWeb provides student access to their financial information (billings and FinAid) as well as final class grades.
No other systems are affected by this outage.
Internet service unavailable
There was a disruption in service due to an nTelos router problem.
Long Distance Outage
We are experiencing a problem with our long distance service. A trouble ticket has been opened with our provider. If you are a faculty or staff member and need to make a long distance call you may do so by using a calling card.
FS server crash/hung
Novell server FS hung again.
CPU at 24%, Appears to be Sophos again.
This time it was run as “sweep -bindery”. The info on the sweep screen was as follows:

TServer crash and reboot
An undetermined problem caused TServe to crash this morning. The server automatically rebooted without further problems and is currently running normally. IS is monitoring the server for further anomalies.
Oracle Calendar server unresponsive
The server was running, but it was not possible to log in as administrator. After a “hard” reset, fsck ran and corrected file system errors. Ran calendar database repairs and then started the calendar server.
Email Delivery Delay
A routine maintenance procedure needs to be performed on one of the email servers. This will result in a delay in delivery of new email messages while the procedure is being performed. After the procedure is finished new messages will be delivered.
Mail delivery delays
A problem occurred during the night on one of EMU’s mail servers that prevented delivery of new messages. No messages were lost, however, they were just delayed until the problem was fixed.
You may have received warning messages informing you that your message couldn’t be sent for four hours. If so, you do not need to resend your message. It will be delivered normally.
FS server crash/hung
Novell server FS hung again.
CPU at 24%, just ran dellmgr, executed stormgr and it hung. No similar files in sweep log.
Powered off server, brought it back up.
Novastore was reloaded. Sweep is NOT loaded yet.
