An issue occurred during routine maintenance which caused some web servers to be inaccessible from off campus. Service affected include: Moodle, MyEMU.

Scheduled: Phone System
On Wednesday May 22, between 6:30-7:30am, a component of the phone system will be upgraded. During the time of the upgrade, inbound and outbound calls will be unavailable. Internal calling will not be affected.
Both Lancaster and Harrisonburg campuses will be affected.
Unscheduled – Phone Service
Due to the return of problems with the cable that delivers phone service to campus, service for inbound and outbound calling will fail. We are working with our service provider to find a permanent solution to this problem.
Unscheduled: RDS Outage
Due to a hardware failure, RDS is unavailable.
Scheduled: Inbound/Outbound calling outage
Tuesday, July 24, 7AM: external calling will be taken down for up to 15 min to address ongoing issues.
Unscheduled: Inbound and Outbound calling
We are currently experiencing intermittent issues with inbound and outbound calls. We expect this to continue throughout the day. Calling may be affected for a few seconds up to 10 min. We apologize for the inconvenience.
If you encounter an emergency and are unable to dial 911 from a campus phone, you will need to complete the call from a cell phone.
Harrisonburg and Lancaster locations affected.
Unscheduled: Broadcast Email Outage
From 7:00 to 9:00 this morning there was an unintended outage to the broadcast email system. Emails sent during this time bounced.
Scheduled: Sympa Upgrade
Monday, November 13 is a scheduled upgrade of our Sympa mailing list server. Sympa will be unavailable during the upgrade.
Unscheduled: Multiple System Outage
Due to the failure of a critical server, many services were taken offline unexpectedly. Users may have experienced delays in login times to their computers and and the inability to reach some EMU websites.
Unscheduled: Network Outage, south-east Harrisonburg campus
Early this morning network connectivity was disrupted to the south-east portion[1] of the Harrisonburg campus by a power failure in the Hartzler Library.
If you encounter problems accessing network drives or logging in, please restart your computer. If you continue to have problems after restarting, please contact the helpdesk: helpdesk@emu.edu or 540 432 4357 (x4357 on the Harrisonburg campus).
There is a small chance that electrical repair work in the library may cause further disruption today. Facilities and IS are working to prevent that.
