Unscheduled: Authentication problems
Update: 11:40AM: Wireless authentication is now working. Our testing shows that all systems are now functioning correctly.
Update 11:20AM: Technicians have identified a problem with our domain controllers. They are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. In our testing everything but wireless connections are working.
Technicians are investigating reports of errors authenticating to Moodle, myEMU, lab and office computers, and other systems.
EX FAM module outage, PowerFAIDS 21.1
For those of you that use the Financial Aid module, there will be an upgrade planned for 2/11/16, Thursday morning until 10:00am. Any connections to Financial Aid data will not be operational (FAM module, military subtab) while we get PowerFAIDs up to date to version 21.1. You may use any other part of EX during this time.
Unscheduled: Scan-to-me outage
During this outage all scan-to-me emails from Ricoh copiers failed to deliver. After this issue was resolved it appears that the server processed some queued scan-to-me emails, which were delivered to users.
Unplanned voicemail outage
voicemail service was intermittently unavailable during this time. Users trying to leave a voicemail message may or may not have received a busy dial tone.
ALL network services unavailable Saturday, November 28
UPDATE: As of 8:45 AM, the update has been completed and all network services appear to be functioning normally.
ALL network services will be unavailable Saturday, November 28 from 7:30 AM to 9:30 AM. This includes all wired and wireless network connectivity and any service that relies on it. This is the second of three major outages required to upgrade core network equipment.
At the Lancaster site, wireless and any connectivity to Harrisonburg will be affected, but other services should remain available.

Calls incoming to campus were briefly interrupted.
Internet connection problems
3:15pm: All systems are functioning normally. Further details are available below.
2:15pm: We’ve received reports of internet connection problems. Technicians are investigating.
Between 2:15pm and 3:15pm on Tue 1 Sep users on the Harrisonburg campus experienced problems connecting to web sites and services. These problems were intermittent and inconsistent, with some sites being available and others not.
We have traced the problem to anomalies in web traffic across our two internet connections. We are working with both internet service providers to further diagnose the problem and prevent its recurrence.
External access to EMU resources was unavailable.
A system failed that caused external access to all EMU resources to be unavailable.
Harrisonburg voicemail system problems
Last night, apparently due to lightning, we lost some functionality of our voicemail system. We have taken the system offline to run tests and try to restore full functionality.
Within an hour, we will send another update on the status of the system and what, if any, actions you may need to take.
