Due to the return of problems with the cable that delivers phone service to campus, service for inbound and outbound calling will fail. We are working with our service provider to find a permanent solution to this problem.
Due to a hardware failure, RDS is unavailable.
Turnitin services will be briefly unavailable on October 28, 2018:
To ensure that services remain stable, particularly during high submission periods, this micro maintenance (30 minutes) will include several hardware updates and performance improvements.
This Saturday, October 20, beginning at 8:00 am we will be updating components of the campus phone system. Between 8 am and 10 am we anticipate there will be several brief periods, 5 minutes or less, during which there will be no dialtone and incoming calls will fail. Aside from this, phones should function normally.

password.emu.edu is currently unavailable. Users will receive an error message when attempting to login.
Issues with connecting to wifi have been reported to IS this morning, and IS has also observed them. To resolve these, we are restarting a component of the wireless system, which will cause a brief outage for all wifi users. We apologize for the interruption but expect that it will resolve other problems that many are experiencing.
Update: After two weeks without recurrence of the connection related problems, we are closing this outage.

Internet service to campus, both Harrisonburg and Lancaster, will be unavailable on Tuesday, July 31 from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm for the replacement of critical network infrastructure.

As of early Tuesday morning, multiple services may be affected due to a failed update procedure. Multiple systems remain inaccessible, including Moodle and other services that require network logins. We continue to work diligently to find a solution. We will update this outage with further information as it becomes available.
